Founded in 2017 by designer Sarina Menzies, Alteva is a sustainable fashion label for women. Inspired by the plastic epidemic in the oceans, the first collection was made from RPET fibres and launched on the runway at the first Eco Fashion Week Australia in Perth. RPET is made from recycled PET bottles, which would otherwise be destined for landfill.
Designed using cutting-edge fibres like sustainable satin which is made from recycled plastic materials, Alteva’s first collection is sustainable and ethical from end to end.
RPET fabric is a Global Recycled Standard (GRS) Certified yarn made from recycled plastic bottles, dyed using certified OEKO-TEX sustainable dyes, proven to have no harmful substances, ensuring not only a luxurious feel but minimal impact on the environment.
The Alteva philosophy is to design thoughtfully for today’s modern women, to create a sustainable wardrobe that is trans-seasonal and multi-functional.
