One of the most precious things in life is finding something that makes you so happy that you get lost in it and time just fades away. For Meg Watson, that’s being in her studio creating jewellery, and how Meg Watson Jewellery all began. With two young kids, being in her studio is a place of peace and rejuvenation.
Meg Watson Jewellery is heavily influenced by exotic, tribal and strong shapes and textures, where each piece possesses a beautiful balance of strength and softness to transcend a feeling of confidence and style when worn. The entire jewellery collection is designed for all occasions, ready to be worn with an evening dress or your old jeans alike. However you do wear them, the hope is that they will bring you the same feeling that was had making them: joy.
All jewellery is created in Melbourne using materials only from local suppliers and recycled silver where available. Meg Watson is a passionate supporter of local craft and design and continuously striving to create a more ethical and sustainable brand. When you purchase a piece of Meg Watson Jewellery, you are not only buying something special to be treasured for a lifetime but supporting local art and small business.
Each piece comes from a concept that has been drawn down, mostly in the middle of the night, when the greatest of ideas seem to appear. These drawings have then been made into wax designs and through an ancient technique called Lost Wax Casting a perfect metal replica of the wax model is created, followed by the fun part of filing, soldering and polishing the piece to make it special and unique.

+ Sustainable and zero-waste
Meg Watson Jewellery is low-waste with minimal off-cuts and every single off-cut is recycled and used again for other products. Collections include thoughtfully created pieces that are embedded with artisanal skills and exceptional quality meaning that every piece is made to last and be loved for many years to come. Meg Watson Jewellery's design process is reviving the ancient technique of Lost Wax Casting to create a perfect metal replica of her wax model designs. Meg is also continuing the traditional skill of silversmithing to create handmade jewellery, as opposed to mass machine manufactured jewellery.
All Meg Watson pieces are ethically handcrafted in their Melbourne Studio. Occasional aspects of the process require the use of an Australian accredited manufacturer who is operating ethically and paying legal minimum wages.
No animals have been harmed in the process of textile production or manufacturing. No Animal textiles or animal by-products are used throughout Meg Watson's collections.
