Ashleigh Devery started Seer & Wilde because she thought there was a gap in the New Zealand market for a sustainable swimwear label and ethical resort wear.
Ash wanted to create a label that wasn’t just about the clothing. Seer & Wilde wants to represent a community of women that can do good for the Earth, give back to charities, and create a safe place for women to be their authentic selves. Ash also struggled to find swimwear and resort wear that was trans-seasonal and designed to last. Frustrated with the state of the planet, Ash knew she had to create a label that was gentle on Mother Earth, will help the less fortunate and also help women feel strong and beautiful while at the beach, or wherever they are while wearing Seer & Wilde.
At Seer & Wilde, the beach and the ocean are happy places. So to be able to design and sell swimwear that is made from ocean waste was very important to Ash. The feeling of helping to clean up the ocean, and make such a positive impact is why Ash got into sustainable fashion. All Seer & Wilde pieces are made ethically in New Zealand with 100% natural fibres. Ash is also very excited to be offering recycled fabrics in the Seer & Wilde resort collection, including hemp fabrics and organic cotton blends.
Seer & Wilde are proud to say they are a plastic-free label. Their packaging is compostable, their labels and swing tags are 100% organic cotton, and their swimwear bags are made from biodegradable materials.
