Two of Melbourne’s most beloved traits are its street art and unique fashion scene, so what could be better than the combination of both? That’s what PANT ACTIVE‘s designer duo Brenton and Deborah Loh thought too when they breathed life into their label and launched earlier this year.

The premium activewear label boasts a bright point of difference; each pair of PANT ACTIVE leggings combine the street art of Melbourne with its famous street style aesthetic, blending functional and fashionable details. PANT ACTIVE’s previous collaborations include works from Melbourne artists, Ruskidd, Sean Morris and Shawn Lu, and now, the latest wearable art collection has dropped, featuring Dosey, Erin Greer, Ruskidd and TwoOne.

The artists featuring throughout the summer collection represent great diversity in artistic styles and methods and showcase the full spectrum of street art across the PANT ACTIVE range. Dosey is well known for his classic graffiti lettering and aerosol skills, and although he works across a range of mediums, it was his aerosol skill set that caught Deborah and Brenton’s eye. Highly developed and mastered in his line work, flow and control, Dosey’s ‘Jungle Juice’ contribution to the Summer 17 collection adds energy and vibrancy the range. Erin Greer’s work is colourful and rich with a mythological narrative, resulting in whimsical, dream-like worlds full of strange and playful creatures. Her piece, ‘Vicente’s Haunted Garden’ is a representation of her fun style and a unique addition to the workout range. Ruskidd has returned with a new piece that he calls ‘Sherbert Dreams’, which is instantly recognisable as his own work with free-flowing organic lines and recurring motifs, finished in a pastel colour palette perfect for the summer season ahead.

PANT ACTIVE has also introduced a range of limited run leotard bodysuits featuring the work of talented artist and large-scale muralist, TwoOne, who has become a leading figure in Australian street art after moving to Melbourne from Japan at age 18. Only 50 bodysuits will be produced with TwoOne’s fern pattern. The Summer ’17 PANT ACTIVE release marks the expansion of the range to include both full-length and three-quarter leggings, plus long-awaited matching crop tops! Like all PANT ACTIVE products, the crop tops are designed with comfort and function in mind, with a classic racerback to offer a full range of movement and genuine support.

To celebrate the success of PANT ACTIVE’s collaborative ranges thus far, they’ll be kicking off 2017 with a launch party and artist group show, featuring the work of over 20 talented artists at Off The Kerb Gallery in Collingwood on Friday January 13th, 2017.To shop the latest range or read more about PANT ACTIVE’s ethos and artists, head to pantactive.com.
