Australia’s Top Influencer Awards

Donning local label FOOL from head to toe, I ranked in at #17 in Australia’s Top 50 Influencer Awards last night, amidst a buzzing snap-happy social crowd at Melbourne’s Spice Market.

When I launched The Fashion Advocate blog two years ago, little did I know that it would one day grow to become a leading online destination for Australian made fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. I don’t operate for acclamation, but the recognition alongside fierce competition like Miss Gunner (#4), Chloe Ting (#5), The Trendspotter (#7) and Melbourne Girl (#9), is a reminder that The Fashion Advocate is slowly making its mark in the fashion industry.

Australia’s Top 50 Influencer Awards celebrate the success and impact of Australian online influencers across social media platforms, recognising a variety of individuals and segments including health and fitness, fashion, beauty, travel, parenting, and culture. Despite the common opinion that influencers just fluff about taking photos of themselves, we’re a supportive force behind the retail industry. The Fashion Advocate promotes ethics and sustainability from a local level up, sharing powerful and positive messages to encourage conscious consuming.

Catch up on last night’s frivolities via the Facebook page, or if you’re interested in registering for next year’s awards, head to mydeal.com.au.
