What does it mean to you to be a good human?
To me, it’s about the impact I have as an individual, and the impact my business has the power to have.
Doing good in the world is easy. Being a good human is about committing to small actions, every day, that collectively have a positive impact on the world. Recycling, buying less plastic, reusing more, supporting ethical brands, thinking consciously about our impact… That’s the easy part.
In business, it takes a little more effort and it can look different for different businesses.
You might pay it forward when you can.
You might donate with every sale.
You might volunteer your time one day per month.
You might work with marginalised communities.
You might release an annual impact report and strive for one positive change every year.
You might choose to buy from ethical suppliers.
You might choose to use only sustainable packaging.
Doing good and being a good human isn’t any ‘one’ thing, it’s lots of things, and in business, there are so many ways you can have a powerful and positive impact on the world.
