Cameron and James pushes boundaries with Dark Paradise

The latest collection from Cameron and James pushes boundaries and changes shapes, expanding on the aesthetic that the Melbourne ethical brand is already well known for. Designer Cameron Dixon wanted to improve on last season’s collection and has answered to his growing following. “We wanted to do something bigger and better than last season, and we’ve always been asked to do full looks but I’ve been hesitant in the past. With Dark Paradise, we finally branched out and it’s the first time we’ve done top to bottom outfits.”

Whilst Cameron wanted to stay away from design elements that were ‘too commercial’, he wanted to create a collection that was still on trend yet true to the Cameron and James aesthetic. “We worked closely with our muse and worked out what pieces he could wear during his weekly routine, because we wanted to have pieces that were relaxed and comfortable for around home as well as out to lunch, but could be paired with other items to dress up and wear out.”

Dark Paradise certainly ticks all the boxes, merging every day wear with a unique sense of style and the collection combines tailored pieces, the brand’s first ever exclusive print, and as always, interesting fabric manipulation.

Cameron is over the moon with Dark Paradise too. “We truly believe this collection represents the direction Cameron and James is currently going in and we’re just so excited with what’s to come.”
