The Movember Foundation is the only charity that tackles men’s health on a global scale, year round, addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. By 2030, the Movember Foundation aims to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%, and it’s well on its way, now having funded more than 1200 men’s health projects around the world.
When Travis Garone and Luke Slattery came up with the idea in 2003, little did they know the trend would catch on. With more than 400 ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’ behind the cause by 2004, the Movember Foundation donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA), and that first Movember cheque was the largest single donation the PCFA had ever received. By 2005, the Movember Foundation had already raised $1,229,000, and by 2006, over $10,500,000.Over the last 13 years since launching, the Movember Foundation has inspired support from over 5 million ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’ around the world to raise more than $770 million for men’s health.
In 2016, The Dress Collective officially joins the cause; for the month of November, they’re donating 5% from all sales to the Movember Foundation. Join The Dress Collective now in the fight for men’s health and shop to support the Movember Foundation cause.
