I feel you. In the first five years of running The Fashion Advocate when it was an online store (now it’s a mentoring program and digital community for slow fashion brands) that’s all I did - chase my tail.
I felt like all I ever did was hustle and struggle and work so bloody hard. And yes, running a business requires elbow grease, and yes, sometimes it’s hard and that’s all there is to it, but no, it doesn’t have to be hard all the time and it shouldn’t feel like a struggle.
Running an ethical, sustainable, circular and slow fashion business should bring you joy. It should light you up. It should make you happy.
It shouldn’t make you tired, overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted.
It shouldn’t make you scroll the ‘gram wondering why everyone else looks so successful.
It shouldn’t make you sacrifice family time, sleep, healthy choices or time off.
