My first five years in six words? Exhausted, broke and burning out fast.

I started my business bright eyed and bushy tailed, and five years in, I was deep in it, broke, and burning out fast. The first few years were nothing like I’d imagined. 10, sometimes 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, pulling every string I could just to get by, and feeling like no matter how much I put in, the returns were heartbreakingly low. Growing an ethical and sustainable fashion business from scratch was the hardest thing I’d ever done, and I felt it in my bones. If you’re struggling to keep your head above water, I get it because I’ve lived it.

There were days I thought about giving up. I’d look at my bank account, empty and in the red, and wonder what was the point of working so hard to build something I cared about if it was just going to drain me dry. I felt so stuck. I was hustling, kicking all the right goals, but the reality was that I was tired, broke, and completely miserable.

Friends would say, “But you’re doing amazing things! You’re making a difference!” And maybe I was, but it sure didn’t feel like it. People saw a brand, but I saw every sleepless night, every missed holiday, and every agonising moment wondering if I’d ever get to a place where I could breathe again.

Then, one day, it hit me: I was pouring all my energy into my online store but not enough into getting people to actually find it. I didn’t have money for ads, and even though I was active on social media, I needed something that would work without burning through cash I just didn’t have. So, I started experimenting with blogging. I’d write about ethical fashion, sustainable living, and the behind-the-scenes of running a slow fashion business. It was one thing I could do for free, and, honestly, I didn’t have much to lose.

And every time I posted a blog, my traffic started to grow. Slowly at first, but then steadily. Every blog post I published became like a breadcrumb trail leading people to my store. And with each new visitor, the possibility of a sale grew. It wasn’t long before I realised the power in my hands: I could double, triple, even quadruple my website traffic every time I posted something new. The more I wrote, the more I saw my audience expand, and the needle started to move financially, too. I’d found my growth method, and it wasn’t costing me a cent in ads.

Then, I committed. I didn’t have spare cash, but I did have grit and the power of organic reach, and so I blogged and blogged and blogged some more. And slowly, the hamster wheel feeling faded. Blogging became my way out of the struggle, my ticket to growing the business without spending beyond my means.

So if you’re in the same spot, where paid ads feel like a luxury you just can’t afford, don’t stress. There are other ways to grow—powerful ways that don’t require dropping your hard-earned cash on ads. Blogging is one of those methods, and trust me, it’s a game-changer.

Now, if you’re already stretched thin, thinking, “I barely have time to breathe, let alone sit down to write blog posts,” I hear you. In those early years, I wore every hat, too. I get how overwhelming it can be when you’re juggling everything solo and need results yesterday. That’s why I created my 365-Day Done-For-You Blog Pack.

It's a whole year’s worth of blog posts, crafted specifically for your eco fashion business, ready to drive traffic to your website without lifting a finger. No brainstorming, no late nights trying to find the right words—just traffic-driving content designed to free up your time so you can focus on running your business, not writing about it.
