You don’t need to be everywhere—you just need to be unforgettable.

Fast fashion is everywhere. It floods social media, dominates search results, and churns out thousands of new products a day, making it nearly impossible for slow fashion brands to cut through the noise.

If you’re a slow fashion founder, you’re probably feeling it right now... How on earth am I meant to compete with fast fashion?

You’ve watched fast fashion brands pop up in your customers’ feeds constantly, with their billion-dollar ad budgets, influencer deals, and endless discount codes. Meanwhile, you’re posting, showing up, and doing all the things—but it still feels like you’re being drowned out.

It’s exhausting. And it’s tempting to think the only way to compete is to be everywhere too—on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Substack, Twitter, Threads, ads… all while trying to design, produce, and actually run a business, sustainably.

But you don’t need to be everywhere—you just need to be unforgettable.

Here's how...

1. Focus on depth, not just reach.

The brands that truly succeed aren’t the ones screaming into the void on every platform. They’re the ones creating deep emotional connections with their audience.

You don’t need millions of followers. You need the right people to care.

Pick the platforms where your audience is most engaged and go all in. Nurture your community. Reply to every comment. Have conversations in your DMs. Make your customers feel seen—because when people feel connected, they don’t just buy once. They become loyal advocates.

2. Create brand recall with strong messaging and visuals.

Be honest—if you removed your logo from your content, would people still recognise your brand? Or would it blend in with every other neutral-toned, minimalist slow fashion brand out there?

A forgettable brand is an invisible brand. If you want people to remember you, your visuals, voice, and messaging need to be distinct, consistent, and bold.

3. Tell stories that make people feel something.

Fast fashion sells trends. Slow fashion sells stories.

If your marketing is just a list of materials and sustainability buzzwords, customers will scroll past it. But if you make them feel something—if they see themselves in your brand, if they connect emotionally—they’ll remember you. And when they remember you, they’ll buy from you.

Fast fashion is loud, but loud doesn’t mean meaningful.

If you're running an ethical, sustainable, circular, handmade or slow fashion business and you're struggling, you don’t need to burn yourself out trying to be everywhere at once.

Instead, own your space, tell a story that sticks, and create a brand that customers can’t forget.

And if you’re ready to learn exactly how to do that, I’m teaching these strategies in my upcoming workshop, F*ck Fast Fashion: The 7 Secrets of Successful Slow Fashion Brands.

Join me live on February 27th at 9 AM AEST, and I’ll show you how to stand out, scale, and sell—without competing on price, burning out, or sacrificing your values.

Because f*ck fast fashion.
