July inside the Slow Fashion Lab was all about connection, clarity, and conscious growth.

Every month inside the Slow Fashion Lab feels like a milestone but July was special.

It was a month of powerful momentum—of clarity gained, glass ceilings shattered, confidence reclaimed, and business challenges finally solved. The kind of progress that doesn’t just show up in numbers, but in energy, alignment, and that quiet knowing of 'Yes. I’m on the right path.'

That’s what we’re building here. A space where slow fashion founders don’t just learn—they evolve.

And the real wins aren't always in revenue. They're in clarity.

One of the most meaningful moments this month came during our Office Hours call, when a founder shared her struggle with how to 'fit everything in.' As a designer, educator, creative, and upcycler running multiple brands, she felt stretched thin—trying to juggle separate platforms, accounts, and audiences. It wasn’t just a logistics issue—it was an identity challenge.

But here’s what we discovered together: clarity doesn’t come from splitting yourself into neat little categories. It comes from integration. From trusting that who you are is the strategy. That your story, your values, your creativity—that’s the brand.

By the end of the session, she had made the decision to consolidate her offerings under one cohesive identity. One brand. One name. One clear message. Not only did this simplify her website, her marketing, and her workload—it gave her the freedom to lead with storytelling and show up as her full self.

This is the kind of transformation that happens when you have a supportive space to think things through, bounce ideas around, and be met with grounded, strategic guidance that still honours your creative heart.

And in her own words, 'I would be lost without Claire and the Slow Fashion Lab.  I was stumbling around in the dark and now that I’m working with Claire, the light is getting brighter with each masterclass and office hours call. I have a clearer direction for my business. Thank you so much Claire.'

Pure magic.

On the workshop front, we went from confusion to conversion to make your website work for you.

This month, we were lucky to be joined by Anna Tillotson, the brilliant founder of House of Cart and a long-time Shopify and Klaviyo expert.

Anna’s not about smoke and mirrors. Her approach is rooted in purpose—and practicality. She understands what it means to run a slow fashion brand without big budgets or flashy funnels. And she showed us how to take the mystery out of online conversions and replace it with clarity.

In her workshop, Anna broke down the five essential elements every homepage needs to convert visitors into customers, the anatomy of a high-performing product page (that still feels human and values-aligned), and the three Klaviyo email flows that can drive up to 30% of your revenue—on autopilot.

She also gave us a rinse-and-repeat content plan that takes the overwhelm out of email marketing. No more second-guessing what to send or when to send it. Just a simple, sustainable structure to stay consistent and keep your community engaged.

Her workshop was a game-changer for so many founders who’ve felt stuck in digital limbo—knowing their website could do more, but not knowing where to start.

Then we learnt from the best with Marnie Goding on pricing for growth.

If there was a standout moment this month, it was the Slow Fashion Lab masterclass with Marnie Goding—co-founder of ELK The Label, one of Australia’s most respected and successful conscious fashion brands.

With over 20 years of experience growing a sustainable fashion business from the ground up, Marnie brought a rare level of depth, transparency, and insight to our conversation on pricing. She shared how ELK built its foundations on solid margins and long-term thinking—never compromising on values, and never rushing the process.

She walked us through how to work out your retail price to determine healthy margins, why different products need different markup strategies (and how to calculate yours), how to factor in sustainability costs like carbon tracking and ethical materials, and the importance of setting pricing that supports your future—not just your present.

Such insanely powerful knowledge.

But more than the numbers, Marnie gave us permission to think bigger. To stop underpricing as an act of self-sacrifice. To understand that charging properly is what makes sustainable growth possible.

She reminded us that pricing isn’t just a financial decision—it’s a values decision. One that ripples out into your team, your impact, your longevity, and your ability to stay in the game for the long haul. Huge.

We celebrated member wins that made us proud.

Every month, we celebrate the wins of our members—because momentum deserves to be recognised. And in July, one of our members had an especially powerful run.

Clare from Slow Fashion Australia moved into a brand-new studio space, launched a beautiful new range, and pushed past a few internal and external limits along the way. These kinds of leaps don’t happen overnight. They come from deep clarity, serious commitment, and an unwavering belief in doing business differently.

Clare’s progress is proof that when you combine purpose with strategy, support, and community—you move. You grow. And you do it in a way that still feels aligned with your values.

And we're growing a community of world-changers.

This month, two brilliant slow fashion brands joined the Lab. And that’s the beauty of this space—it’s not just about the mentors, the masterclasses, and the strategy sessions (though those are world-class). It’s about the people.

Founders join us from all over the world, bringing their ideas, their grit, their fire, and their shared purpose to use fashion as a force for good. Inside the Lab, we collaborate, not compete. We share openly, learn generously, and remind each other why we started in the first place.

There’s something powerful about knowing you’re not alone. About being surrounded by people who get it—the late nights, the production hiccups, the self-doubt, the passion, the mission.

We are growing. Together. And there’s space for you here too.

So what's coming up next in the Lab?

August is shaping up to be just as rich and exciting, with:

  • Masterclasses and workshops led by experts in Facebook ads, marketing strategy, social media, PR, and wholesale.

  • Our signature Office Hours session for real-time coaching and problem-solving.

  • New resources, community chats, and unexpected collaborations that always seem to bloom inside the Lab.

And as always—everything is recorded and added to your member dashboard for lifetime access. So you can learn in your own time, in your own way, without pressure.

If you're ready for real, values-aligned growth, join now.

The Slow Fashion Lab isn’t a course. It’s not about quick fixes or formulas.

It’s an ever-evolving ecosystem of support for slow fashion founders who want to build something meaningful, sustainable, and profitable—without selling out their values or burning themselves out.

When you join, you get access to...

  • Mentoring masterclasses with leading fashion experts.

  • Fashion-specific workshops on everything from email to wholesale.

  • Industry guidance from people who actually understand your world.
