Essential summer poolside pieces for every season

Essential summer poolside pieces for every season

If I could follow the sun throughout the year and skip winter, I would. I’m a beach lover at heart and take full advantage of any chance I can to ditch my heels, wash off my make-up and laze around poolside or lap up some rays at the beach. I live by the saying, “Salt cures everything: Sweat, tears or the sea”, and the latter is where you’ll often find me post-fashion week to unwind.

There’s something utterly relaxing about the sound of the ocean waves on soft sand and the feeling of sweaty, salty skin that draws me to the coastline, and I love nothing better than a long day at the beach with an umbrella, some good tunes and a good book.

Unfortunately summer doesn’t last forever – but the beauty of the perfect resort wardrobe is that you can take it wherever you go and work it in with whatever’s currently trending. My resort wardrobe is simple but well thought-out: printed bikinis which double as cute underwear for sheer tops and dresses, a white kaftan that can be teamed with a block colour slip and belted with boots for a night out, a full length open kimono for layering, minimal accessories with a little luxury touch, stand-out sunglasses and of course, a few fun towels!
