Harriet Doran’s latest collection FOREST reflects the soft and sleepy eerie feels of a winter forest deep in hibernation. Inspired by nature’s textures and colours, Harriet has creatively translated the complex layers that a winter forest reveals, through chunky knits and detailed finishes – qualities that the Melbourne label is well known for.
“The FOREST collection is as the name suggests; I picture leaves that are vibrant but covered in drops of dew, dark shadows covering the ground, the crunch of the forest floor as I take a step. This collection captures the raw textures of a forest.”
Harriet’s interpretation is clear throughout the entire collection; a mix of moss greens, dark smudged blues and dense textiles, worked into 60s silhouettes with layered grunge and punk elements. The FOREST collection falls just in time for the Melbourne winter too, although as with most timeless Harriet Doran pieces, each can be worn in any season and styled for any occasion.
