Give a gift that keeps giving this Mother’s Day

Flowers, candles and pampering treats are always nice for Mother’s Day, but if you’re looking for something different this year, give a gift that keeps giving – a Soxy Beast sock subscription.

Soxy Beast is a Melbourne based sock subscription company that delivers fun, quirky and Australian made cotton socks to their subscribers. Each monthly pair is designed by a different artist with 10% of sales donated to a charity of the artists’ choice, so every time your mum receives her new pair of funky socks each month, she’ll have a little story to tell about the artist that designed them and the charity they supported.

For April, Soxy Beast has collaborated with graphic artist Alexia Brehas to raise funds for the Olivia Newton John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre. 10% of sales and subscriptions of Alexia’s designs sold throughout April will go towards providing art therapy sessions for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Alexia’s playful design incorporates the Olivia Newton John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre’s themes of growth and rejuvenation, which she hopes will raise awareness for the great work this organization does to improve the lives of those battling cancer.

The duo behind Soxy Beast is husband and wife team, Jeff and Ali De Maria, who are excited to be adding more female subscribers to their business.

“When we started we thought we were selling a product for men, but found out pretty quickly that women love the socks too and we’ve been adding more female subscribers every month,” said Ali, “Because we work with a range of artists our socks really can be worn by anyone.”

Pre-paid subscriptions start at just $15 per month and are available at soxybeast.com.au.
