Longer lengths and European details

Longer lengths and European details

Longer lengths and European-inspired details dominated the David Jones runway at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, setting a timeless tone for the upcoming Spring racing season.

Lead by top Australian labels Camilla and Marc, Carla Zampatti, Dion Lee, Ellery, Ginger & Smart, Lover, Manning Cartell, Thurley and Rebecca Vallance, together with millinery from Gregory Ladner, Max Alexander, Morgan & Taylor and Jane Lambert, the David Jones runway delivered a taste of what is to come this Spring.

Scarlet reds, nipped waists, pant suits, delicate lace and longer lengths were key, defining the trends ahead: elegance, modesty and demure. European-inspired embroidery and fine floral detailing are the usual for the season, but the change in silhouettes to bare-shouldered and below the knee – these are the new Spring trends.
