Fittingly surrounded by crisp white walls and a delicate flower backdrop, porcelain-skinned models marched down the runway at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week donned in delicate lace, sheer layers and glittering textures.
If ‘Spring’ had to be defined by one collection this season, the latest from Alannah Hill is it. Socks with sandals and fingerless lace gloves added a defiant tone, while moody lip colours, darkened shades and slicked-back straight parts painted a picture of confidence and allure.
Synonymous with flirty floral prints, classic cuts and vintage inspired glamour, the Alannah Hill aesthetic (albeit with a dramatic twist this season) seems to be surviving the late departure of the namesake herself from the iconic brand.
